MWCD commissions firm to redevelop lodge; company will focus on lake region

One of the primary goals of the company that will begin marketing Atwood Resort will be to build “experiences” to attract new and returning guests to not only the lodge, but the entire region. John Meeske, president of Resorts and Clubs Inc., said he cannot wait to get started and showcase the Atwood Lake region and surrounding attractions to potential partners to locate in and around Atwood Resort near Dellroy.

Women Making Waves is a course developed to acquaint women with the sport of boating and designed to provide them with the education needed to get behind the wheel of a boat with confidence. One goal of Women Making Waves is for women to be able to plan time on the water, either with girlfriends or children, without being intimidated by the process of getting on and off of the water.

Both Yamaha and Honda Marine have determined the effects of E-10 (10% Ethanol Blended Gasoline) can be harmful when used in outboard motors. Therefore, Atwood Lake Boats will be E-10 free beginning in the spring of 2009. Replacing E-10 is the new recreational blend available exclusively at Marinas West and East.
